a married gal
We did it! John and I got married on Friday, May 23. The weather was perfect - after a week of rain and snow just a few weeks before, I was nervous and wondering why in the hell I planned an outdoor wedding. The day went well. The ceremony was great. The reception was fun. I'm a wife!
There were some things I would do differently. There were some things I couldn't avoid that I had to deal with (being sick, music not working). But all in all, it was great. I didn't cry, like I thought I would. My family didn't cause a scene. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
I am in awe every day (well except this past Sunday because DAMN John pissed me off) and beyond grateful that I've found this guy. I've spent many years dating, been in many relationships and it took a lot to get me in the place to be ready for the one.
After the wedding, John and I went on a honeymoon to Savannah, GA. For the first two days, I hardly had a voice. Then days three and four, I had an awful cough. I finally started feeling better by the time we got home - just in time to go back to work!
Our honeymoon was great. It was so nice to spend time with John. We have so much fun together. We hardly travel together, and this was our first "far away" trip. We travel well together! We just have fun. I love hanging out with John, and I think that's a great part of a relationship.
Next up in married life, John builds the beautiful gas grill we received as a wedding gift! I'm ecstatic.
