This Weekend I...

Linking up with Syndal and Sar!

This Weekend I... had class on Friday night. You all probably think WTF, but it isn't bad. Besides, it's a marketing class, and I love that shit. We had a speaker from a local market research consulting firm come in. She's been working with Tylenol on their "re-launch" in to the market, since they've been MIA for the past three years! She had great stories. And we had wine. And pizza.

This Weekend I... got super into baking (more). I made cupcakes on Saturday, and Sunday! Saturday's recipe was from Martha Stewart and I thought they were too dry (though I could have overcooked). Sunday was this recipe with this frosting and OMG. I also added white chocolate to the frosting. I brought them to my coworkers today and they love me. This weekend I'm going to try raspberry white chocolate cupcakes.

2nd batch of cupcakes!
This Weekend I... had a Caturday party with some of my cat lady friends. We ate cupcakes, pizza and chips and just catched up with each other. And talked about how cute our cats are.

Jack needs a cat diet.
Caturday cupcakes.
Charlie nevers come out, but he came out for the day and loved Jenna!
Aww Charlie and Jenna!
This Weekend I... cleaned out the storage unit I had while I was living with Grandma. I was expecting to just be able to say, OK! All done! but, lo and behold... I needed 10 days notice (WTF). So I had to pay another $100+ for an empty storage unit. Apparently I'll be refunded the money from April 5th - April 24th... but still. Annoying.

This Weekend I... made a super hodge podge dinner on Sunday night. We had omelets and hashbrowns, leftover chicken wings and artichoke dip (Pizza Luce. Yum.), fruit and milk.

This Weekend I... worked on this writing assessment for this job I'm going for. Talk about a long process. Bottom line is that I'm still in the top two. I'm feeling confident with the assessment! I just need to finish it up and send it over to the manager. Hopefully they'll make a decision this week. I decided if I don't get this job, I'm just going to sit tight in my job until this time next year, then start looking at other companies. I'm pretty passionate about marketing and advertising, and I haven't gotten that passion about the industry I'm in (financial services). Also, John says if I don't get it, he's going to start looking for jobs out of state. Honestly, there's nothing holding us back here except me being in school. Since that will be done in a year, we can go anywhere. I'm voting somewhere warm.

I am skipping Easter this year and heading to my friend's cabin this weekend! We are going to bake a lot (since she owns a bakery) and make delicious food (she's also a chef).
