Intentions for 2013

As 2012 draws to a close, it will go down in history as one of the better years in my life. In my 24th year, I really found myself. I found my sweet John, too. Those two are probably related.

With 2013 upon us, I feel an even better year coming. I have so much to look forward to this year. I don't intend on making resolutions but I do plan to set intentions for myself.

Two of my best friends are getting married, my good friend Meagan is also getting married.

I feel some big career changes on the horizon. I'm not happy in my job and my philosophy is, if you're not happy, change it. I'd rather spend my time trying to find something that makes me happy than being miserable and wasting time in a dead-end cubicle.

With that, I see personal growth and change, too. As I metioned before, I'm fat. So that's the first that will change (slowly). I truly believe everything is related and the relationship between my unhealthy lifestyle is directly related to the unhappiness in my cubicle job.

My relationship will surely go places, too. While there is no pressure, I have an 18 month plan (because I love plans. And lists.) and part of that plan includes getting engaged this year. This spring to be exact (!!!!). While you aren't supposed to plan these things, John and I have very frank conversations about our future. Besides, why would I be in a long-distance relationship with someone that I didn't want to be with forever?

I'm going to make the most of what I have, be grateful for a job, health and love, and finally just take each day for what it's worth.

Let's go, 2013. Bring it.
