We had two Thanksgivings on Thursday - one with John's family, and one with mine. We were stuffed. I found this guy sleeping in my room, curled up with my bear.
Spending the weekend with Gizmo and Charlie was fun and definitely reminded me that dogs are a lot of responsibility and I do not want one any time soon.
John hates Black Friday with a passion. I don't LOVE it, but I love going out shopping when all the stores open. And I don't even love buying things as much as I love just being there. Anyhow, John decided to just tease me and drive in front of Target at 9pm. I crashed so early on Friday night, it was disgraceful.
We spent Saturday with my friends Aly and Jenna, and Aly's cat, Gracie, for Caturday. Aly made us lunch and it was glorious. Oh and guess what, JOHN GOT A BROW WAX. His eyebrows are a little intense and he will NOT let me pluck them. The woman that does my brows, her husband is a Minneapolis police officer, so I figured John would let her have at his. And he did! He did a great job. They're all cleaned up now, and we decided he'd maintain our cars, and I'd maintain our brows.
Saturday night we went to the tree lighting in Rice Park. It was COLD. And John needs a new winter jacket (I loathe puffy man-jackets). But we had a great time. We met his friends from college for a beer, then headed to the movies to see Argo. It was good!
On Sunday we took Grandma to brunch for her birthday, then headed to Red Wing to spend the afternoon with John's dad's side of the family. They crack me up. His dad has like 6 siblings, and they're all so funny. The men are also ridiculously tall. John is 6'2" and his dad is 6'4", well all of his uncles are even taller than his dad! They mostly spend their time talking about cars (his uncle is a former GM executive) and tractors (his other uncles are farmers).
All in all, it was a lovely weekend with John, and saying goodbye is always the hardest part! Not sure when I'll see him next, but I have a busy few weeks coming up, so it should be okay. I have a third (and hopefully final!) interview this week for this great marketing position at my current employer and I REALLY hope I get it! Keep your fingers crossed!

Sounds like a great Thanksgiving! And good luck with your interview. I'm in Marketing too, so I like to follow along with your job stuff :)
